By accessing or using The Artist Base ("the Platform"), operated by Master The Mix Academy ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Community Guidelines, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
The Artist Base is a platform for music producers, DJs and artists to learn, connect, and grow. Our services include educational content, community features, chat, audio hosting and streaming, music discovery, feedback tools, and personalized coaching tools. The Platform is a hosting service: registered users may upload, store, share, and stream audio content. The Platform enables other users to listen to, interact with, and (where enabled by the uploader) download such content.
You retain full ownership of any content you upload or post on the Platform, including but not limited to audio files, images, text, comments, and profile information ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership rights over Your Content.
You are solely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, or distribute on or via the Platform. The Platform acts as a hosting service; we do not pre-screen, monitor, or endorse user-uploaded content.
By uploading Content to the Platform, you grant The Artist Base a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licenseto host, store, stream, transcode, display, reproduce, and make available Your Content on and through the Platform, solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform's services.
You also grant other users of the Platform a limited, non-exclusive license to listen to, share, and (where you have enabled this option) download Your Content, using the features and within the parameters you have set on the Platform.
These licenses terminate automatically when you remove Your Content from the Platform, except that content already downloaded by other users (where you enabled downloads) or content shared via external services cannot be recalled by us.
By uploading Content to the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
All user content must comply with our Community Guidelines. You agree not to upload, post, or distribute content that:
You further agree not to: use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform; attempt to circumvent security measures; collect personal data of other users; or use the Platform to create a competing audio streaming or hosting service.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may report it by:
Please include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the URL of the infringing content, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the reported content and notify the uploader. We reserve the right to reinstate content if we receive a valid counter-notice.
We reserve the right to block, remove, or restrict access to any content at any time, without prior notice and without liability, if we have reason to believe that such content:
Individual uploaders control their own content and may remove it at any time. You have no right to perpetual access to any particular content on the Platform.
Users who repeatedly infringe the rights of third parties, or who repeatedly violate these Terms of Service or our Community Guidelines, risk having their accounts suspended or permanently terminated. We consider factors such as the nature, number, and severity of violations when determining appropriate action.
The Platform is a hosting service. We store and make available content at the direction and request of our users. We do not create, select, or endorse user content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any content uploaded, posted, or distributed by users, including but not limited to claims relating to copyright infringement, defamation, privacy violations, or the accuracy or reliability of user-provided information.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Artist Base, its affiliates, employees, directors, and agents from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (i) your violation of these Terms; (ii) your Content, including any claims by third parties that Your Content infringes their intellectual property or other rights; or (iii) your use of the Platform.
Certain features may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. Refund policies are communicated at the time of purchase.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that Your Content will always remain accessible. We do not warrant that security measures preventing unauthorized access to or downloading of Your Content will be effective in all cases.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed €100 or the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or our Community Guidelines. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
Upon termination, we will delete Your Content from our servers, except where we are required or permitted to retain it by applicable law. Content previously downloaded by other users cannot be recalled.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Platform or email at least two (2) weeks before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that period constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence within the European Union.
