The Artist Base is a community built for music artists — DJs, producers, vocalists, and everyone in between. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where artists can learn, grow, and connect. These guidelines exist to protect that mission and ensure everyone can participate with confidence.
Treat every member the way you'd want to be treated. We welcome diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skill levels. Constructive feedback is encouraged — personal attacks are not.
The following types of content are not allowed on The Artist Base:
Unsolicited promotions, repetitive content, bot-generated messages, or any form of commercial spam. This includes mass-sending identical messages or flooding community channels.
Targeted harassment, intimidation, threats, doxxing, or any behavior intended to make someone feel unsafe or unwelcome. This includes persistent unwanted contact after being asked to stop.
Sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or other content that is inappropriate for a professional music community. Artistic expression is valued, but content must be suitable for our diverse community.
Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Threats of physical harm, encouragement of violence, or content that glorifies violent acts. This includes both direct threats and veiled or implied threats.
Deliberately spreading false information that could cause harm to others or undermine trust in our community.
Sharing content you don't own or have permission to use. This includes uploading music, images, or other creative work without the rights holder's consent. Samples and remixes must be properly cleared or used within fair use guidelines.
Pretending to be another person, artist, brand, or organization. Parody accounts are not permitted.
If you see content that violates these guidelines, you can report it directly through the platform. Every post, comment, message, and demo has a report option. When you submit a report:
We use a graduated enforcement system. The severity of action depends on the nature and frequency of the violation:
Level 1 — Content Removal
The specific content is removed. You receive a notification explaining which guideline was violated.
Level 2 — Warning
A formal warning is added to your account. You receive a detailed explanation of the violation. Warnings are cumulative — repeated warnings lead to escalation.
Level 3 — Account Restriction
Your ability to post, comment, and interact is temporarily suspended. You can still browse the platform and access your purchased content and courses. Restrictions are applied after 3 accumulated warnings, or immediately for serious violations.
Level 4 — Account Suspension
Your account is fully suspended for severe or repeated violations. You will not be able to access the platform. Suspension is reserved for the most serious cases, such as threats of violence or illegal activity.
We believe in fairness. If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you have the right to appeal:
To protect our community, content that receives multiple reports from different users may be temporarily hidden from public view while it is being reviewed. This is an automated safety measure and does not constitute a final decision. The content will be restored if no violation is found upon review.
You have control over your own experience on The Artist Base:
We are committed to transparency in our moderation practices. We publish regular reports about the number of reports received, actions taken, and outcomes. These reports are available on our transparency page.
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, community needs, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through the platform. Your continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated guidelines.
If you have questions about these guidelines, need help with a moderation issue, or want to report something that requires urgent attention, contact us at sacha@masterthemix.com.
